Overview

Swiss Arabian Perfume Group (SAPG) is a perfume and fragrance manufacturer producing and distributing finished goods across wholesale and export markets. Already running Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for production, batch tracking, and warehouse management, SAPG engaged Devsinc to add unit-level serialization to its live platform and to support adoption across production and warehouse operations.

Business ChallengesProduction Scale Outgrew Batch-Level Control
  • Authenticity Limited by Batch-Level Tracking. Individual units could not be uniquely identified, limiting authenticity validation and end-to-end traceability.
  • Manual Registration Risk at Production Speed. Picking-list journals and Report-as-Finished postings were manual, adding effort and error risk at high volume.
  • Legacy Stock Without Serial Data. Substantial on-hand stock carried no serial data, so the transition had to protect inventory valuation.
  • Carton and Recall Visibility Left Partial. Partial License Plate use limited carton, shipment, and recall traceability across wholesale and export.
SolutionTraceability From the Line to Dispatch

Devsinc extended SAPG's live Dynamics 365 environment module by module, rather than replacing it.

  • Serialization at the Source. The platform assigns a unique serial to every unit automatically at Report-as-Finished.
  • Label Verification on the Line. Scanner-based checks reject unreadable or invalid labels before units continue down the line.
  • Traceability Through the Warehouse. License Plate locations and work templates support serialized receipt, put-away, and picking.
  • Carton, Dispatch, and Cutover. Parent-child aggregation links serials to cartons, with a phased cutover protecting inventory valuation.
Measurable OutcomesAuthenticity, Traceable From Line to Dispatch
  • Traceability level: Unit-level Every newly produced unit now carries a unique, system-generated serial number.
  • Label quality: Scan-verified Scanner-based verification minimizes defective label pass-through, reducing manual quality checks.
  • Dispatch: Serialized Serialized dispatch supports customer-, country-, and export-level traceability across wholesale.
