Overview

IGI General Insurance traces its roots to 1953 and is the flagship general insurer of the Packages Group, rated AA+ by PACRA and JCR-VIS. Serving roughly 4,000 corporate clients and 19,000 individual customers across 9 Pakistani cities, IGI partnered with Devsinc to bring policy purchase, claims, and support for its General and Life lines into one mobile app.

Business ChallengesHeritage Strength, Digital Friction
  • Branch Dependence Capping Reach and Speed. Policy purchase, claims, and support all depended on branches, call centres, or paperwork.
  • Six Product Lines, No Single Customer View. Customers had no single place to view, buy, and manage General and Life policies.
  • Claims Complexity Blocking Digital Intake. Motor and travel claims involved many conditional steps that had to move online with full auditability.
  • A Two-Way Dependency on Live Policy Data. The app had to reuse Life systems and sync policies both ways with live data.
SolutionSix Lines, One App, One Integrated Foundation

Devsinc rebuilt IGI's mobile experience as one connected system, starting from the integration layer its audit had flagged as the real risk.

  • Quote to Policy in One Flow. A guided issuance flow takes customers from quote to policy without a call or branch visit.
  • Self-Service Claims. In-app camera, FIR capture, and inspection scheduling replace branch-based claims intake.
  • Life-System Integration. A two-way sync with the Life system shows every active policy in one place.
  • Support That Starts in the App. WhatsApp support, complaints tracking, and renewal reminders let customers self-serve.
Measurable OutcomesWhat One Connected App Delivered

Phase 1 MVP delivered and internally validated, completed March 2026.

  • Motor and travel customers complete the entire buy journey in-app, from quote to issuance, with no branch visit.
  • Customers can initiate a claim in under 5 minutes, 24/7, instead of going through a branch or phone call.
  • A 48-hour settlement promise is tracked and shown to the customer on every quick-claims journey.
  • Every active policy appears in one place, regardless of the channel that sold it.
  • Every policy is covered by auto-triggered renewal reminders, sent within 1 month of expiry.
  • 10+ functional modules are delivered, spanning policy management, claims, buy-and-issue, support, and IGI system integrations.
  • One Flutter codebase powers both iOS and Android, cutting build and maintenance overhead in half.
“This is going to be a game changer for us, not just for General but for Life as well. We're moving to one common app across the board, not only for our own group's customers but for the general consumer market too, across auto, travel, home, and the full range of products on our shelf life. It's going to be a great experience for anyone looking to buy insurance from us. What makes this partnership work is that our IT team and Devsinc's are genuinely aligned, we speak the same language, and both sides are geared up and on their toes to make this happen as soon as possible.”
